PromptVault does not collect personal information.
The extension stores only the data you explicitly create or provide, such as:
- AI prompts
- Prompt titles

Your data is used only to provide core functionality, including:
- Saving and organizing AI prompts
- Editing, deleting, copying, and pasting prompts
- Exporting and importing your prompt library
PromptVault does not use your data for analytics, tracking, advertising, or marketing.
3. Data Storage & Security
- All data is stored locally on your device using Chrome storage.
- No data is sent to external servers.
- No cloud storage is used.
- No third-party services receive your prompt data.
Tip: You can back up your prompts anytime using the Export feature.
4. Permissions Usage
PromptVault uses only the minimum permissions required to function:
- Storage – to save your prompts locally.
- activeTab – to paste prompts into the currently active page when you choose to do so.
- scripting – to insert prompt text into pages based on user action.
- contextMenus (if enabled) – to save selected text as a prompt from the right-click menu.
PromptVault does not access your browsing history and does not track your website activity.
5. Remote Code & External Services
PromptVault does not use remote code. All scripts and logic are bundled within the extension package and are not loaded from remote sources.
6. Data Sharing
We do not sell, share, or transfer your data to third parties, advertisers, or analytics providers.
7. User Control
You have full control over your data:
- You can edit or delete prompts anytime.
- You can export your prompt library for backup.
- You can import your prompts later without losing data.
- You can remove all data by uninstalling the extension.
8. Children’s Privacy
PromptVault does not collect personal data from anyone, including children under 13. Since no personal data is collected, there is no child data processing.
